Aspiring Seacrest or CEO

Presidency and the Press
Krysta Lewis is the next Ryan Seacrest – or so she hopes. Hailing from Auburn NH, Lewis has come to the Presidency in the Press program to learn about broadcast journalism and to improve her interviewing and marketing skills.
Lewis participates in the Future Business Leaders of America program and DECA, a nationally organized marketing club. Marketing is a passion for Lewis and she feels that participating in the Presidency and the Press program will help her become a better sales person. “If you can approach someone well in an interview, you can approach them with a sales offer,” she said.
Knowing of her interest in business, marketing, and journalism, Lewis’s guidance councilor suggested the Presidency and the Press program to her. If journalism doesn’t work out for her, she hopes to go into business and eventually become the CEO of a major company.
Lewis is also looking forward to a potential internship with WMUR or a local radio station. “Interviewing has always come naturally,” she said. “It’s very easy for me.” Lewis is looking to reach wide audiences – so while you may not read her work the Kaleidoscope, the Pinkerton Academy newspaper, she hopes to be on the airwaves sometime soon.
Lewis attends school at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH and plans to take part in her school’s journalism class in the coming year, later taking a class in video production.
