Rick Santorum faced tough questions by student reporters.

Aaron Dupuis of Franklin Pierce University’s press crew wasted no time in notifying conference director Dr. Kirsten Nevious after learning the whereabouts of Rick Santorum.

It was the perfect opportunity.

After learning what it means to be a political journalist, students from The Presidency and The Press were eager to practice their skills outside the classroom.

The day after Dupuis’s unexpected find pairs of reporting teams from FPU arrived at Santorum’s New Hampshire headquarters in Manchester.

The young reporters were received with a mix of respect, gratitude, and skepticism.

The gaggle of student reporters began interviewing Santorum shortly after arrival.

Questions ranged from abortion to the national deficient.

Santorum responded to five questions with a particularly lengthy response regarding abortion.

As a Roman Catholic Santorum endorses pro-life and he is confident, due to past experience, that he can sway pro-choice voters to support his campaign.

After referencing his conference with Patrick Leahy on the Partial Birth Abortion, Bill Santorum stated that “we were effectively able to bring people to our side”.

The reporters from FPU left shortly after the interview and were transportation to FPU’s campus building in Manchester.

The student reporters spent the rest of the day attending presentations with Raymond Buckley, Michael Dennehy, Joseph McQuaid, Jeff Bartlett.
