Mitt Romney campaign staffers captured the attention of student visitors and tried to persuade them to vote for their candidate.
Although Romney wasn’t present at the meet and greet, his campaign team made a 20-minute pitch to the students. State director Jason McBride presented a PowerPoint both on Romney’s strategy and his appeal to voters.
McBride said one tactic would be to “camp out in New Hampshire.” The plan is to spend countless hours visiting all over the state.
“McCain really spent a lot of time in New Hampshire, we didn’t, which really impacted the results of the elections in 2008,” McBride said.
Among the questions that students asked was one about the economy should Romney get elected. The answer was that he plans to create jobs to help the unemployment rates and then once that stabilizes the economy, then he will focus on fixing the deficit.
