Katie Silverman at Presidency and the Press for Second Year in a Row

Katie Silverman, of Derry New Hampshire, is excited to be here at Franklin Pierce University for Presidency and the Press for the second year in a row.

Silverman, a senior at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, has an interest in journalism and has been interning at Derry Community TV focusing on local news. After taking a journalism class in school, Silverman developed a passion for media, writing, reporting, being behind the camera, as well as being in front of it reporting.

Silverman says that she is always interested in taking advantage of new opportunities in her field. She is excited to see the Democratic and Republican headquarters, and get to speak with Marlin Fitzwater again. Silverman has begun looking at colleges, and has her eye on Emerson in Boston. She is hoping this opportunity will help advance her in her field.
