First night at Presidency and the Press conference

The 13 members of the Presidency and the Press 2012 all began their Saturday morning bright and early by checking in at the Cheshire Hall at Franklin Pierce University.

Although many were nervous about getting assigned dorm rooms, everybody ended up satisfied with their roommates and the facilities.

Seventeen-year-old Kelsey Kresge, an incoming senior at Pinkerton Academy, was quite pleased with the dorm situation.  “I have to say, I was happily surprised because I was rooming with a person I knew,” she said. Her roommate was a fellow student from Pinkerton Academy.

Not many had this advantage of rooming with some one that they already knew, but by the end of the night, all of the members at the conference ended up bonding over Family Feud in the girl’s dorm common room.

The students’ earlier trip to Wal-Mart had supplied them with an assortment of high-calorie treats to snack on over the course of the night.

By about 11 pm, everyone had begun heading off to bed to prepare themselves for the tasking days ahead.  Kresge ended up enjoying her first night in the Franklin Pierce dorm.  “The bed was more comfy than I expected and we got to watch TV as a family,” she said.
