Several Presidency and the Press students credentialed for Republican National Convention
To cover a National Convention is an experience of a lifetime and the Marlin Fitzwater Center has the privilege to go to Tampa and attend the Republican National Convention.
This year five people who attended the Presidency and the Press will be going to Tampa, Jennifer Connors is the director of Social Media for the Fitzwater Center, Noah Phillips, Stephen Keimig and Harrison Harkey, who are going to be incoming Freshman at Franklin Pierce University in the fall and Aaron Dupuis. Four out of the five students are Fitzwater Scholars and this experience will help them in the fall.
We needed the experience of using cameras as well as stand-ups for upcoming interviews with delegates, protesters as well as supporters of the candidate.
We will be staying in Tampa for the entire time and just to have this opportunity is a real honor. With the help of Professor Bush, he helped us get a better understanding of our writing as well as get an understanding of using final cut.
This program is a great experience, especially to up our skills for the big time in Tampa. This was all possible because of our extraordinary coverage of the New Hampshire Primary and we were able to earn this credentials by uploading videos as well as photos to Facebook and YouTube, and tweet our experience to the rest of the world.
This will be the second Republican National Convention that the Marlin Fitzwater Center had the opportunity to cover and it will become an experience of a lifetime for everyone that is going.
