Award-winner Taylor Yeley wants to take her talents to college
by Shannon McKeever
Taylor Yeley, while excited to be apart of the Presidency and the Press program, also wishes there would be more media production aspects during the visit.
Yeley is very interested in media communications, especially filmmaking. Yeley said that she, “fell in love with the
people and the environment involved with filming.”
As an upcoming senior at Winnacunnet High School, she has already accomplished a lot for her school through video production. She was asked to make a video for a competition for schools throughout New Hampshire, focusing on what makes her school unique. Yeley and her school came in first place, serving as the main inspiration for her filmmaking passion. They were awarded the Edie Award for Best School in the State by Edie Sustainability Leaders.
“I like what I do- I don’t know what jobs are out there though, so I’m looking forward to this program to see if this is really for me,” Yeley said. She is planning on applying to colleges and universities across the country to pursue her videography skills.
Yeley hopes to take away important information about different careers and options for her future while on the press team. She is still seeking alternative paths in the world of filmmaking.
