Emily Dunagin uses journalism insight to write civil rights novel
By Rebecca Dow
Emily Dunagin is a young writer who is already touching the world with her work.
Emily has just started her senior year of high school and has already written two novels, one based on civil rights and ethics. She has been able to print both out and hand them to her community.
She has written her novels to “touch the world” and make a difference. “ I don’t want to gain anything,” she said. “I want others to gain from it.”
Her novels are not didactic. She wants her readers to have their own opinions.
She adopted her objective narrative style after attending a newspaper convention in Vermont.
